Emerging artist Alexander Small brings together a unique mixture of drawing, sculpture and sound . His drawing based practice is inspired by a search for prime orders in materials directly related to our own bodies. This leads to strange hybrids of drawing, painting and sculpture referring to our material and psychological essences. Born in the UK, Alexander studied art and philosophy in Bristol and has been a practising artist for the past three years. He has regularly exhibited around the UK, travelled to Kerala India researching traditional art forms and has been a resident artist at the Artist Sanctuary in Northampton. He recently gained a place at Camberwell College of Art to study for a Masters of art specialising in drawing.
