Artist’s Statement
“I believe there is art for everyone…. it enriches, educates, embraces and inspires us.
I have lost many loved ones, friends; in the past 4 years that were like family to me; they have given the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom and the freedom of others whom they did not know. It has taught me that I do not want to take one single breath for granted; I would like to take more risks, share my thoughts and feelings more with others and never be ashamed to cry if the moment and people so move me.
Events since 9/11 have made a profound impact on me; it’s made me never forget to count my blessings however small they may be, and to not waste one gift the Lord has given me. It has forever changed me, as it has many; I’m ready to fulfill my dreams, to try to inspire others just as the men I have known have inspired me… if only on canvas.
Special thanks to my husband who never ceases to amaze me for the man he is, who always believes in me; my children who are my inspiration for everything. Lastly special thanks and loving memory to “Phat” Matt, “Goldberg”, & “T”, “Lest We Forget” is for you; I hope you can see it from those pearly gates of heaven you must be guarding; not a day goes by that I don’t think of you…. miss you.. Thanksgivings’ at our house and our lives’ will never be the same.”

Interests
I've been painting since the age of 10. I painted murals and stage & set designs for children for 5 years. I started painting on canvas when I was asked to paint something for a gallery nine months ago. I'm currently in several galleries, but really want to open up my own gallery and framing shop, where I would have a children's artshop once a week. To keep art alive in the hearts of children since it's been taken out of most schools.
